I got one for you!

Back in the 80's I picked up this cassette tape at a little country store when I was working in cattle country here in Oregon.
I packed up my two Australian shepherd dogs into my old farm truck and headed off.
I remembered this cassette tape and popped out my Chris LeDoux tape (which is still around somewhere but since then it has broken but I can not seam to get rid of the lyrics cover card and the broken tape).
So I pop in this new cassette tape as I was making our way to the Sisters Oregon Rodeo. By the way I put this cassette tape in as I was waiting for a sheep hurder and his sheep to let me get on with my trip, they were taking up the whole road!
This cassette tape (which is still around and I play it OFTEN) is named just the O'Kanes.
The song that pertains to your question is simply called
"Daddies Need To Grow Up Too".
Since I could not find the lyrics anywhere on the computer (these two boys were only together for a short time back in the 80's) so I wrote out the lyrics...

DADDIES NEED TO GROW UP TOO Mamie O'Hara- Kieran Kane
The O'Kanes

Son, let me tell you how mush I love you
Ans I hope you and your mama understand
How sorry I am for not being here
When you needed my heart and my hands
But believe me when I say it's gonna be diffarent now
No more nights wondering where daddy is
From now on I'm gonna be right here for you
So can you find it in your heart to forgive
You see

Daddies need to row up too
Learn what they should and they shouldn't do
In a way we're a lot like you
We need some understanding
Daddies stumble, daddies fall
We don't really know it all
I'm gonna try and make it up to you
Daddies need to row up too

Son, I know that you've looked up to me
Even when I let you down and made you cry
But tonight it's me who feels like crying
And you're the hero in my eyes
You see

Daddies need to row up too
Learn what they should and they shouldn't do
In a way we're a lot like you
We need some understanding
Daddies stumble, daddies fall
We don't really know it all
I'm gonna try and make it up to you
Daddies need to row up too

This song to me has memories behind it, and I like to play it for my three boys I have now.....Sorry for rambling lol!
