Just met this weekend Paula Dean's son, Jamie at Bubba;s Restaurant in Savannah....
Met Cameron Mitchel, Richard Petty, Larry Holmes, Ed Bagley Jr., in Myrtle Beach SC 1983. Dianna Ross,5th Ave NY,1983.
Dionne Warwick, Natalie Cole, Cher, Bill Cosby in Las Vegas 1979.

I've met quite a few of them...I work a charity golf tournament every year, and each of the foursomes has a celebrity. Many of these are sports stars...A few of the names from this year's event:

Unless you're approaching middle age, I'm not sure how famous she would be. Phylis George was a Miss America and became famous when she was a commentator on NFL today. This was back in the 80s. She was beautiful so it was pretty exiting when she came to the university I was attending and introduced herself to people in the student union. She shook my hand and I gave her my name and she repeated it. It don't seem like much, but I will never forget it.

Talked briefly to Natalie Merchant of 10,000 Maniacs -- she was a very shy girl, still in her teens back then;
a couple members of The Psychedelic Furs ("Pretty In Pink", "Heaven") as they hung out back of the club they were playing in town (early 80's);
Bono (U2) passed by me and friends after one of their early 80's shows. He's really short but well-built.

My uncle and my friend's Dad met Jackie Chan. He's the nicest guy, and I'd give so very much to meet him myself...

I've met Michael Buble. I was getting on my electric scooter, and he pulled up on his gas one, and he started talking to me about scooters. It was kinda funny :P
