Why does society accept it when a man is outside with out a shirt but looks down upon a woman who does? Is there some law that I don't know about?
I mean the only difference is a woman has more fat in that area. That cant be the reason though, because I have seen pleanty of men with "man boobs" walking around with out a shirt on.
Does anyone else find this weird?

It's just the way our society is........ we're uptight compared to a lot of other ones in the world........ and to think, we're the land of the free, but yet the most uptight in SO many aspects...... this being one of them :P

Oh, this is an easy one! Well, the majority of drivers on the road today are men. I'm not taking anything from a woman driver, I'm merily quoting statistics. Now with that in mind, how many wrecks would it take to see that topless women would be dangerous? Not to mention the confusion it would cause babies!!!!!! Be like going to a all ya can eat buffet and not being able to eat!

Well, if I accidentally touched a man in that area when he was topless, then he probably wouldn't make a fuss about it. If I did the same thing to a woman, then she most likely would. Same if I took a picture of the man, then one of the woman. When women stop making such a big deal out of it, then maybe it'll change.
And for women who say that their breast are just fat or for feeding babies and there isn't anything sexual about them, do you honestly expect men to believe you don't get sexually stimulated having your breasts played with?

it's just culture. In the states, seeing bare boobs is frowned upon, just like kissing in public is frowned upon in India or writing with your left hand is frowned upon in Vietnam. I'll never understand it. I think people are just too uptight about things that they are not used to, but that's just how it is. I just wish people would stop minding other people's business. If they don't like it, just look away. Who are we to say what others can or cannot do simply because we don't like it? If it doesn't physically or financially hurt us in any way, we should just mind our own business.

I kinda agree. I guess its just not the thing to do. Why cant women have facial,leg,or armpit hair? Society just doesnt think its right. If women walk around topless we get charged with nudity. I think that peoples just think its un"lady like" but even if we were aloud to do it iw ouldnt wante to be all exposed like that. But i think women should be aloud to have leg and armpit hair. i mean who said we had to shave. I still probly would but just not a s often

In Ottawa Ontario, it is actually legal for a female to go around topless, but most are so uptight that they dont, except maybe a few at the beach.

If you want to go topless, do it. Personally, I like the shirtless look on some people. The real problem seems to be that those who should wear clothing remove it, and those who would look fantastic without it, keep it on. Irony, eh?

I find it strange, too, but I guess society just isn't used to it. Think about how startled you'd be too see a topless woman.

because our culture doesn't want to make the breasts appeal week. If boobs were open and plain as day, women wouldn't need boob jobs and hollywood couldn't use them to sell movies. I am a nudist and that is what I see

Overweight men often take their shirts off because they get hot and sweaty under all of that extra blubber. I personally get embarrassed when I'm topless in front of a lot of people now, but when I used to be slim I had no problem showing off my muscles to the ladies. I think if a girl walked around topless she may as well have RAPE ME written on her forehead (there are a lot of sociopaths in America).

This went to court in Canada and now a woman CAN walk around topless if she wishes.
