Most definitely not. The outlaws already have guns and if you take away the guns from the good people the outlaws will be the only ones with guns. Do you think that people who have no fear of breaking the law will be afraid of owning and using illegal guns? If you outlaw guns only the outlaws will have guns. Those guns will be used to terrorize all of the innocent people who have no way of defending themselves. So the only reward all these law abiding citizens will get is more crimes being committed at their expense. If you take the guns from the good people of the country the only people who can stop crime will be the police, and it takes time for the police to respond to a call. The criminals don't wait around. I believe that the only reason that crime does not control this country is because of the fear that the criminals have that if they break into a house they may be met with barrel of a gun. Is it not nice to know that you can leave your family home and know that they have a way to defend themselves should somebody try to break in. I have some amazing stories in witch, had the victim not had a gun, there would surly have been robbery, murder, rape, and other horrible crimes. Believe me, honest people owning guns is the only way this country is still free.

it would help but no. there'll always be illegal gun possession & some bozo selling illegal guns. crime & the word criminal strongly implies that which is against the written law. in order to stem the march of crime & that which is criminal is simply to re-write the laws to make what is a crime - no longer a crime. voila! no laws? no crime! now, we know this isn't going to happen. no, no my friend. crime to humans is like breathing is to all life form. the hard facts of life. you want to reduce this thing call crime? instead of looking at it in a huge way, put a portion under a microscope and begin examining the cause & affect. small steps. as confucius is credited in saying: the world's longest journey begins with a single step.

the crime rate won't change because of gun control. all the restrictions you put on guns don't apply to the black market. If I'm going to commit a crime using a gun it's not going to be with a legally obtained firearm.
However, just for argument's sake, lets say that gun control would stop criminals from getting them, then the number of crimes committed with knives, swords and clubs will go up.

No. Look at that one city in GA. They REQUIRED all homes to have a gun, and in the 20YEARS since they did it, their crime rate DROPPED over 90%.
2cd. Do the math. If you take away the rights to guns, only honest people will turn theirs in. THEN what stops the criminals?
There is really no way to round up every gun, people would just hide them, and, it might just START a civil war over it.
What we need to do is make it harder for the ones who do not need a gun to get them, and the ones selling illegally to have long prison time.
And do like FL, do a crime with a gun, get life......
and most of all, STOP babying the criminals. If they do a crime, no plea bargining or pleading to a lessor offense.

Strict gun administration can cut back gun crime. the ends up in Britain and Australia have proved this. considering the fact that those 2 international places banned inner maximum gun possession crimes with weapons have declined sharply. So great much less weapons equals much less crime usually top. The crime image in those 2 international places relatively exhibits the suited opposite. jointly as gun crime has long previous down, attack, housebreaking, theft, rape, or maybe homicide standard has skyrocketed.

Well Hitler, Stalin and Mow(spelled wrong I know) all said gun control works. Lets see between all three, there's something like 100mil dead people because of that. Gun control only leaves the civilians defenseless.

Seems to be working great in Philadelphia, New York and Washington, I feel totally safe to walk in any part of any one of those cities because I know that guns are illegal.
And look at Vermont, anyone who can legally own a gun can carry a concealed weapon, very high crime rate and outrageously high murder rate, very unsafe place to live.
Seriously, did anyone actually read both paragraphs? I listed the 3 places with tough gun laws where you are most likely to be shot and said they are safe. I then listed the state with the lowest murder rate in the U.S. - and guess what, everyone is packing. I was in my girlfriend's yard in Vermont a few weeks ago doing some target practice. The phone range twice, it was the neighbors on each side of her property wanting to know if they could come over and shoot too. Crime is non-existent in VT.

Yes. All accidental deaths by legal gun owners would stop.
And robberies, murders, burglaries and such would sky rocket, like they did in England when they did the same thing.
