how do I change the brake light switch on a 98 chevy silverado?

It is located underneath the steering wheel where all the wiring is. Get a flash light and stick your head under there. If you have a new brake light switch use it to help yoru find the new one by the way it looks or feels. I do not know off the top of my head how to adjust the brake switch though. Do not install a new one until you figure out how to adjust it.

Some things need to be done by a pro.Please take your chevy to a dealership and let them check the stop lamp system to correct the problem.There is more to it than think.
