It's pretty good if you just started learning how to type recently. But if it's someone who has been typing for a while, then it's not very good.

I think it is, sorry. :/ When my friend tried to get a secretarial position, they required a minimum of 75 wpm. I got 98 wpm, but I think I had like... 84% accuracy.... Hahaha. I guess it also depends on your familiarity with the keyboard/how you're sitting. I'm typing really well at a desk, but I doubt I would've done so well if I was typing like I usually do, with my laptop in bed. :) edit: hahaha nevermind! i just looked up what the regular typing speed is for secretaries... apparently they usually ask for 35 - 50 wpm at 95% accuracy or something? jeeeez, i don't know what they're bugging my friend about..... :/

Typing at 35 WPM is good if you are a student! :) Typically 8th graders should enter high school typing 25 WPM, and in HS it goes up from there.
Secretaries should type double that amount, but for every day typing, you are probably right where you need to be at this point.

60 WPM is the 'gold standard', but personally I would rather see someone type 35 WPM with accuracy than 60 WPM with spelling errors and other mistakes. So, 35 WPM is good -- you won't win any typing tests with it, but I can't think of a venue in which it would be insufficient to get a job done! Also, when you type regularly, your speed increases automatically.

Good or bad for what? If you don't have a pressing need to type very fast, then it's fine. If you're trying to get a job as an administrative assistant or in data entry, I'd suggest getting your typing speed up.

It's okay, like everyone's said. You can improve dramatically with practice. The best kind of practice includes combing letters that are uncomfortable for you. You can buy cheap typing games/progams at any store that will help you pick up speed. Yahoo even has typershark you can play for free. It even helps. The link is below.

It's good, but with practice you could do better.
You wouldn't believe the number of people at work that still type with the hunt and peck method (using index fingers only). These guys are VP and SVPs. It really is unbelievable.

The minimum average for job applications is usually 40 words per minute.
35WPM is slightly below average. Keep practicing to bring-up your speed.

It's a reasonable starting point----practise and your speed will increase.
