Its extremely hard to make accurate calls at the major league level, players know their way around calls. plus its just a coincidence that the 2nd base umpire makes the mistakes. every umpire is selected to a crew and they stick with that crew throughout the season, and they alternate between bases and the plate.

Yea i caught that yanks-red sox call. I agree the call was wrong but umpires don't have a 360 view they only can call from their standpoint, their going to make mistakes but they are there because they are at the top of their profession plus Ive seen many umpires come back to say that they were sorry that they missed that call or the call was wrong. Its going to have so what can you do

i replaced into relatively questioning approximately this the former day in actuality. I continually questioned if MLB could ever do this and that's humorous it got here up now. i think of that's exciting yet probable no longer in the terrific interest of communities. I advise in keeping with how human beings seem at it, faith can play an important function in human beings's lives yet having days committed is somewhat fuzzy. that's respectful are not getting me incorrect, yet i do no longer think of faith could be referred to in baseball video games as human beings could be quite disrespectful in the direction of specific non secular communities. some could even boycott the video games case in point. Baseball video games could purely proceed to be public, if somebody passes away, a set could have a 2nd of silence and all yet introducing faith days is somewhat stupid. i'm Russian Orthodox case in point yet i would not prefer the Blue Jays to have a "Russian Orthodox" night on the Roger's Centre. I advise it could relatively conflict with baseball.

Umpires change positions after every game. The home plate umpire for the evening or day is the boss. It's never the same guy.

I believe that when you see a call on TV, it looks obvious to you, but they have a harder job, because they have to make a call without the handy thing called instant replay. It is easy for you to say that they do a bad job, but I think that until you get out there without instant replay, you cannot judge fairly.

Probably because they're bored to tears and just stop paying attention. Of all the umps, the 2nd base ump has the least to worry about, so it's no wonder they sleep on the job as much as they do.

I know what you mean
Today they said Crisp was out when he was safe, and yesterday he was safe when we has really out
I wish they would make calls better
But as the saying goes "Umps are remembered for their bad calls, not their good calls" or something like that

They're human and they can;t make the correct call always. Even if they have good training or make the big bucks.

Your preception doesn't quite seem to mesh with reality, let alone with the rulebook.
