.7

This is the kind of problem that is extremely easy to do in your head.
350/500 is the same as 700/1000 (double the top and bottom).
Now is is very easy to see 7/10 or .7.

It is easiest to use a calculator: 350/500 = 0.7

But if you want to work it out in your head, this is a longer way to do it:

35/50 ---> Divide by GCF, which is 10 (so far... just doing the obvious one)
7/10 ---> Divide by second GCF, which is 5.
0.7 ---> For 7 divided by 10, move the decimal point to the left.

That's a roundabout way to do it. :)

sorry, but honestly...WHO ASKS THAT??
First of all, like the first guy said, you can easily do it in your head. But if not, have you ever heard of a device called a calculator? If you can type it on the computer, why can't you type it on the calculator? I'm sorry..but asking that is an insult not just to yourself but to mathematics...and I'm sure each person who sees this will agree with me.

0.7
An easy way of doing it is by dividing it by 1000 = 0.35, and then multiplying it by 2 = 0.7
