You HAVE to read Twilight & New Moon by Stephenie Meyer, I promise you will be hooked.

Also anything by Scott Westerfeld[Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Peeps, The Last Days]

Sarah Dessen books[especially Dreamland & The Truth About Forever]

You might also like some easy, fast reads like Rhymes With Witches by Lauren Myracle or A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb

Happy reading!

[Really, you MUST read Twilight & New Moon]

I just finished probably the BEST Danielle Steel book i've ever read. I know she is more of an adult author, but this book would definitely be appropriate for a teen. It's called "Sisters" and it's about 4 sisters in their 20's who go through trials, end up living together for a year, and bond. It was REALLY good!! They all have awesome jobs (one is a famous model) so their personal story lines are great too. There isn't much of anything sexual in it or anything, so no worries there. It's her newest book, check it out!

Although it has already been said, I will throw in another vote for the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants series. I am 28 and recently read the first one, expecting it to be rather fluffy, and was impressed by the topics it tackled.

And, of course, if you haven't read the Harry Potter books yet, everyone should!

ok....i love reading too so i can definatly help you with this one! but it also depends on what type of reading your into:

My Recomendations for Fansaty:

Just Ella
Fairest

If you like Realistic fiction with a little bit of a fansy like twist:

Escape from Memory
Double Identity

um... those are some of my favorite books but the one book i think you simply must read no matter what genera you like is:
Time Windows by Kathryn Reasis
(i might have spelled that last name wrong but if you google it you'll get the results your looking for!)

But trust me you HAVE to read it! I love all types of boks but that's probably the BEST book i've ever read!
Well hope it helps! ;-)

Everyone has good ideas, I would add one author who has several series of teen books...Meg Cabot. She has written the Princess Diaries/ All American Girl novels/The Mediator/the 1-800-Where-R-U books. Have a great summer!

You have to read "A Wrinkle in Time" (and its sequels) by Madeline L'Engle. It is fantastic, and has been made into a movie. The book is much better and my daughter loved it when she was a young teen. I noticed just yesterday that the local Wal-Mart is featuring a re-issue of it for a good price!

I highly recommend A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels by Libba Bray. They are 2 of my favorite books. That's all I can think of for right now.
