I would have cried too! At 4 months along you have a baby not a clump of cells! I had a miscarriage at 4 months along. I lost a baby girl! I don't blame your wife for being upset. I hope the two of you work things out! You owe her a apology!

Well, she is 16 weeks pregnant! That means she is her second trimester with 4 months along, a head and arms are formed at that stage. How many abortions are performed around the second trimester? Not a lot. You know why? Because most are done during the first trimester at 5 or 6 weeks of gestation, where IT is a clump of cells. Abortions done at 4 or 5 months usually done to save the woman's life, you support the abortion of those fetuses, right? Because pro-lifers do support abortion to save the woman. I wonder if you will be telling the same story if your wife had shown you an ultrasound of a 5-week embryo. Hmm.
Edit- I can't believe people hadn't noticed this is an abortion quetion done by a pro-lifer.

First off, Congrats on the new baby! I know that was meant in sarcasm because of your other posts... And I agree with you that if it's ok to get an abortion at 16 weeks and the little baby in inside the mother has arms, legs and a head, won't that be like killing a baby? Yes, it would. I was once pro-choice then someone asked me if I believed I has a soul, I said yes, they then asked me when did I think that soul was created.... at 16 weeks...at birth.. or the moment of conception.... conception is the only clear answer.
If you were dumb enough to say that to your wife, then buddy you deserve everything she is about to do to you... good luck with that ;~)

I understand that well thought out pro-choice question.
This is why we must get the high quality ultrasound machines in all clinics.
I saw a printout of one of these from a mother 11 weeks along and it is almost like a photograph outside the womb.
A perfect little baby with all features.
It's LOOKS like they took the baby outside, cleaned him/her up, took a photograph then put the baby back inside the womb.
I know those older ultrasounds are REALLY BAD quality.

I'd say that's pretty insensitive. It's your BABY, not a lump of cells at 16 weeks. You should be a bit nicer to her, granted she's got a lot of hormones in her that make her extra emotional, but that's a really rude thing to say.

If your wife was so excited why did you knock her down like that? Regardless of you opinion did it ever occur to you to just say something nice? It is your baby. I hope things change soon, or this marriage won't work. I would suggest going to her and apologizing. Good Luck

YES!! A women is very emotional when she is pregnant and whatever joy she is feeling she wants you to feel the same. She may feel as though you dont want the baby because you are not taking the time to try and see the baby you are just being a "man" and saying its a clump! That is a baby and it is forming everyday please dont be so mean or negative this is a womens most exciting moment when she comes home from the docotors with the photos to show off to her man!! please get more involved, i know from experience!!!

she is very emotionally attached- which is up to her. you can't fault someone for getting attached to something
same as you can't be angry when someone doesn't have an attachment and would prefer to not have their body be occupied.
to each their own and everyone should control their own body.
at 16 weeks I could see her attachment. I'd personally start calling my fetus a baby at 16 weeks. but before 16 weeks its only a fetus in my opinion

Yes, that was totally insensitive and rude. I wouldn't blame her if she knocked your block off. No woman wants to hear her husband call their baby (and it is a baby) a clump of cells. Grow up and treat your wife with a little respect.
