Never go by what the media says. The media is run and made by humans, and therefore will always have flaws. Some media is more reliable than others though.
Yes. But my knowledge of politics doesnt come from osmosis. I do research and I follow national and local politics pretty closely. With the internet these days its incredibly easy to do said research.

Yike! Remember that the news is about the strange, the weird, the unusual! That's why it's news!
Read about the issues by reading the actual legislation!
A little research can make a big difference.
Listen to ALL sides and don't decide until you understand why they want it (without painting either side as a "bad guy", which is almost NEVER true).
Keep voting, regardless.
I have an IQ of around 179, my wife, who is smarter than I am (having been studied at one of the major universities as a child) is even better at it (though less experienced).
However, it doesn't take a brainiac to realize that LOTS of people are trying to get you to vote because YOUR VOTE MATTERS!

For me (and only for me) I vote my pocketbook and leave everyone's morals etc. alone.
I don't always understand the small differences between candidates in local elections, but I can get the point of ballot initiatives.
Media? What media? the so-called Liberal media which collapsed when W was elected and has licked his boots ever since? Or the Conservative media that has been poisoning the well of public debate for 20 years.
tell me the facts and I can make my own critical evaluation of them based on my (and only my) morals and life experiences.

If you trust the media you are truly in trouble!
They push their own biased political agenda just like everyone else!
Check out history and find out what WORKS and what FAILS.
That is probably a better guide.
Vote for those that on on a path that will work.
Never support a politician that doesn't believe in, support and follow the Constitution!

Don't go by what the media says. Research the politics yourself. Read some of the speeches candidates make, ect.

If you follow the Media, your vote is ignorant. (Been there. Done that.)
No one was anymore ignorant than me.
Watch Fox News and get the Truth.
I ESCAPED THE DEMOCRAT PLANTATION, where blacks & poor whites are kept down, poor, in their place, and voting Democrat for a Hand-out.
