It has aquatic mode of respiration. Moreover, all the tissues are dried and are dead. So, the question of its coming back to life does not arise. Once dead, an animal or plant cannot be brought to life.

Since starfish need water ( seawater specifically) and your question states "dried" I maintain no. Dried starfish will not return to live if rehydrated with seawater. I tried this at the beach one summer long ago and know this to be true based on the experiments I conducted as a boy to explore the topic through the scientific method of testing ones hypothesis through repeatable experiments.

get a live starfish to kiss the preserved one.it might come back to life ♥ it would work better if you tracked down the starfish's first love.

good luck.

no, they won't come back to life now

starfish, however, can regenerate if a living one is cut with a large enough parts, which may have confounded you
