Does any parents on here know any information on St. Helena Catholic School located at 5th and Godfrey in Philadelphia. Is it overall a good school? I'm researching catholic schools for my daughter, and will appreciate any input.

I've not taught there but I've been once or twice for conferences. First, as a teacher who has taught in both Catholic schools in Philadelphia, St. Joachim and St. Hughs, and the public schools, Clymer Elementary at 12th and Rush, ANY Catholic school is far better than a city school if you can afford it, though I suspect you already know that.

I haven't heard anything in particular about St. Helena's but I really believe that your daughter will be far better served by a Catholic school. Good luck!

I was just thinking that if you go in the travel section of Y!A and then go to the United States section, there's a section for Philadelphia in there. Maybe if you posted this question there, you may come across people who could give you more specific information than I did. Perhaps people who've attended or who taught there.
