In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

The references below are from the King James Version of the Bible:

Deuteronomy 30:15 states: "See, I [God] have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil."

In Isaiah 45:7, the prophet describes God's creation plan when he reports that: "I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I the Lord do all these things."

Satan is one of the many angels mentioned in the Bible. It is worth noting that the Hebrew word for angel is malach, meaning "messenger." The same is true for the English word angel, derived from the Greek word angelos, which also means "messenger." Throughout the Bible, an angel is a messenger of God who carries out the divine will of the Almighty. There is not one example in the Jewish scriptures where any angel, Satan included, opposes God's will.

The references below are from the Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible:

"Satan" is used in the Tanakh with the general connotation of "adversary," being applied to:

An enemy in war and peace (1 Kings 5:4; 11:14, 23, 25)
An accuser before the judgment-seat (Psalm 109:6)
An antagonist who puts obstacles in the way, as in Numbers 22:22, where the angel of God is described as opposing Balaam as an adversary.

In the Book of Job, the Satan is a prosecuting attorney against mankind in the heavenly court of God. Other angels are not mentioned by name. Satan is shown as an accuser who questions mankind's loyalty to God. He argues that man is only loyal because God gives them prosperity. God allows the Satan to deliver ills upon Job to test Job's faith.

In 1 Chronicles 21:1, Satan incites King David to commit the sin of taking a census of Israel. Five hundred years earlier, this same story portrayed God as the one who incited King David to take the census (2 Samuel 24:1). The later story was written after the Hebrews had been in exile in Babylon and had been exposed to Zoroastrianism.

Satan is the name of the being more commonly known as the Devil. In certain mythologies and religions, Satan is the ultimate evil spirit. Usually Satan is imagined as being the opposite of God, evil in all things just as God is good in all things. Satan presides over Hell, which is a mythical place where bad people go after they die. Hell is commonly imagined as being dark and hot with fire and lava and torture devices all over it, and it is the opposite of Heaven, which is an eternal paradies where certain religions say that good people go when they die.

Satan is none other than Lucifer. He was the fallen angel. Cast out from heaven for all eternity. He supposedly is God's main adversary, according to the scripture. But that is not entirely true. Satan himself must answer to God. For Satan is the ruler of Earth. That title was given to him by God. So when we sometimes pray and say "God help us", we are actually calling out to Satan.

ok god created the heavens and the earth his frist creation was angels and unlike human angels didn't have free will and had to bless and whorship the lord but it not like they didn't wan to worship the lord if u see the lord the might and power if him itself will want to praise him but so this angel named lucifer thought that he was better than god so he rounded some angels together and when god caught wind of this he cast satan or lucifer down to hell and made him the lord of the sinners and such now contrairy to populard culture lucifer is supposed to be very beautiful and pretty when he was an angel he was the most beatiful of them all. Now he did not change form in hell so he is still beatufil but satan tries to trick mortals to do bad things now the funny thing abou tthis is that god let him to do that god has power over everything and knows everything go knew that satan was gonna be bad but it was apart of his plan. But satan tries to be powerful. God did give power to satan satan his pretty much the king of the earth atleast god let him think that god stills puts him in check but god needs him in his plan till the apocalyspe where he will have a new earth and have the another angel send lucifer to the pit of internal lake of fire where he will be destroyed now this is all little bit much but and the big deal is that SATAN IS the devil he is evil he creates lies death disease and all that stuff becasue god lets him too. but god onl;y let him to that because he gives us free will to govern ourselves and whorship him if you want him to

Satin is a cloth that typically has a glossy surface and a dull back. It is a warp-dominated weaving technique that forms a minimum number of interlacings in a fabric. If a fabric is formed with a satin weave using filament fibers such as silk, nylon, or polyester, the corresponding fabric is termed a "satin". If the yarns used are short-staple yarns such as cotton, the fabric formed is considered a sateen.

A satin-woven fabric tends to have a high luster due to the high number of "floats" on the fabric. Floats are "missed" interlacings, where the warp yarn lies on top of the weft yarn, or vice versa. The floats tend to make the fabric look glossier as well as give it a smoother "hand" in most cases.

Many variations can be made of the basic satin weave including a Granite weave and a Check weave. Satin weaves, twill weaves, and plain weaves are the three basic types of weaving by which the majority of woven products are formed.

Satan is better than god because Satan will get involved in peoples life on earth even if it is to ruin it.There is no reason why god can't be involved even though we have free will god still needs to get involved, if he's powerful enough to crate us than he's powerful enough to save us on earth not just when we die.God sucks

In the dualistic Christian religion, Satan is the epitome of all forces of disorder causing evil and unhappiness. God is the source of order, goodness, and happiness.
