From what I know of my elders, he was okay. He totally botched the Bay of Pigs with his inexperience and that led Castro and Kruschev to initiate the Cuban Missile Crisis, which JFK handled well. He accelerated troop involvement in Vietnam by sending thousands of Green Berets and military advisers. But he did allow the Diem assassination and replaced Diem's South Vietnam with weak leadership. On foreign policy he seems to break even.
He seemed to have good direction with taxes (he cut them) and initiated space exploration by announcing he was sending a man to the moon. But he died with just over 2 1/2 years into his presidency, so it is incomplete at best.
We will never know.

Of the presidents over the last 50 years he was better than average.
Presidents over the last century have been of very low quality.
So, no, I don't think he was "really good", but then neither was anyone else.
This is one of his better statements:
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival & success of liberty." --- John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) 1961-01-20 (quoted in Jeff Scott Cook 1989 _The Elements of SpeechWriting & Public Speaking_ pg 175)
another good one:
"So many tax payers have become so preoccupied with so many tax saving devices that business decisions are interfered with & the efficient functioning of the price system is distorted." --- John F. Kennedy (JFK) 1961-04-20 (quoted in John H. Makin & Norman J. Ornstein 1994 _Debt & Taxes_ pg 127)
This one is just amusing:
"When we first got into office we were surprised to find out that things were just as bad as we'd been saying they were." --- John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) (quoted in Jeff Scott Cook 1989 _The Elements of SpeechWriting & Public Speaking_ pg 215)

He died too soon to really evaluate his Presidency. His handling of the Missile crisis in Cuba and Russian intervention was fantastic. He was an excellent speaker.

His weakness started the Cuban missile crisis. The bay of pigs, Vietnam were also some of the failures of his presidency

Yes, perhaps the best. It's because of his futuristic ideas
about space, that we have the amazing satellite technology
we have today. He was also, a great contributor to civil
rights.
His book, "Profiles in Courage", inspired many.

He cared about the American people. He wanted to abolish the Federal Reserve system, which may have gotten him killed. There's a reason he was assassinated. He was too dangerous to the behind the scenes wire pullers (Rothchilds, etc.) who want to control the world.

When compared to our current disaster of a President, every single President before seems like the greatest thing since bread came sliced.

Any man who would pull out of an illegal war is a man of honour, so yes.
Just a pity that a warmonger was next after he got assassinated.
