Many people buy expencive cleanerswhen all you really need is baby shampoo (johnsons works well). Avoid conditioner, because this makes them too soft. If you want a good inexpensive cleanser, Revlon makes one in a gell based pump....

Hi Celi, you can clean any of your makeup brushes by wetting them throughly, then using a bit of soap lather, gently wash the brush, and rinse.
It may take a few times.
After you rinse the brush, shake the extra water out by tapping the brush against your hand.
Prop the brush bristle end up and leave to dry.

Your make up brush should be just as good as new when it's dry.

A drop or two (only!) of a mild shampoo will capture the oil and make-up in the brush. Massage it in very gently with your fingers. Keep rinsing with cool water until the water is clear. Do not wring or twist the hairs, squeeze them lightly with a white towel or paper towel to absorb the excess water. Allow the rest of the brush to dry naturally, rubbing your fingers over the hairs lightly to break up clumping.

Lots of make-up companies (Like M.A.C. and Lancome) make brush cleaners. These cleaners are probably the best for expensive brushes, because you'll want to keep them in really good condition. But if you are looking for a cheap, home remedy baby shampoo works really well because it's so gentle. Make sure to re-shape and let the brush air dry in a clean place.

mild shampoo and conditioner as needed. but NEVER prop your brush up to dry. the water leaks into the handle and loosens the glue that holds the handle on and can make the paint peel off and make the brush look old and ugly. lay flat on a towel to dry. once it's dry, you can prop it in a jar or container as usual.

Well, What I do is get a moist towel. Then I lightly brush the hairs of the poweder brush over the towel until you see enough color on the towel that you think is good and clean. Hope it helps! : ]
