Usually when you make the middle finger,the fingers adjoining the middle finger forms curly knuckles and that symbolizes an erect penis with the two balls. So the one making the sign is upset with you, mad at you or doesn't respect you.It's like saying the figure of speech f*** you! only it is done silently.It is bad yes, it is disrespectful!

LOL, hun in most places it means something along the lines of "screw you" but much worse. In California we call it a hello on the freeway, but it usually isn't a good thing unless you are in bed with someone and that is there finger of choice.

Times have changed.
One middle finger means "F ..... you" (not nice).
Years ago it was the two finger sign (I suppose people are getting lazy now). lol.
They both mean the same. Either one or two fingers.

its not necassrily bad, unless they do it to u on purpose, but if they do, it normally means the person is mad at you,has a bad temper, or just hates u personally because of sumthing that u did, it means the f word
