They got married last July... and I saw her through a car window once. I have NO idea what this woman is like... what her views on parenting are...etc...
My ex is an extremely controlling man.. any advice on how to get him to let me meet this woman??

Unless it is by chance I doubt you will meet her. When he picks up the kids one day just ask just to see what his response is, but most men and women would rather keep the ex and new wife or husband apart, to easy to compare stories. Lol. Seriously, I'm sure it would just cause a lot of problems if you tried asking her about her parenting skills. The new wife doesn't like the ex usually because she has heard all the horror stories about her. You will be able to tell by how your children are when they come back home.

Call and ask her to lunch just the three of you (you, daughter,her). Maybe ask your daughter to go and have her invite her step mother. If you're ex-husband has any common sense he will appreciate a good relationship between you and his wife. If you make it clear to him that you just want to meet her and there's no hostility involved than he ought to come around. Right now he's probably just being protective.

hello first of all call her let her know that you want to get to meet the women who will be around your daughter from time to time. invite them over for any reason, or as simple as a birthday party. and this will open the door for her to feel welcome. and best of all be a big person in the whole situation.

Kudos to you for even wanting to meet her and acknowledging that she is in your child's life. I wish that it was like that for me and my step kids mother, she wont talk to me and that is so hard for our kids.... talk to him and explain how it would benefit your daughter for everyone to know each other. maybe you can meet at a mall or a common place.Just keep it up and maybe he will come to his senses

he is definately not going to agree to it-- guys know that woman gossip- and when woman gossip- the bad would come out about him.
I'd call her -- just introduce yourself- and say you have never got a change to meet her. maybe find a reason to call - and call when you know he isn't home.
