And George W. did? He's as experienced as most presidents in the past. Kennedy's only political position was as Senator before becoming president. Also, political experience isn't exactly what many people are looking for. Many people are tired of career politicians and want someone who actually has ideas about how to run the country rather than how to be run a political machine. Barack was a lawyer, a community organizer, a lecturer, and a state Senator. I'd say he's amply experienced.

Giuliani was the Mayor of New York, only. Does he have the foreign policy credentials? Has he even traveled outside of the U.S.? Our current President did not have the political experience to be a competent manager and it shows. How did he get in twice? It surely wasn't because of his clarion call for justice and liberty coupled with a clear understanding of the U.S.Constitution. This is fair to say because of his chosen Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Was the same standard held with W. as it is being held with Obama? Obama is a Harvard trained Constitutional Scholar, what is Giuliani's background that would give him a leg up for the top Constitutional position; The Office of President of the United States of America. Listen to the language of the current President, "I am the Decider", Strict Constructionist Judges" and let's not forget "Bring um on!". Does that sound like a quality Statesman to you? Is this the best and brightest Amerca has to offer in global leadership? If you voted for Bush, then your standard for President is lower than all of the Presidential contenders Democrat and Republican alike. Bush supporters should be embarrassed by his lack of commentary on pressing issues of our day, his decision to go to war in Iraq, when Iraq had nothing to do with 911, never mind he had Colin Powell, Brent Scowcroft and all his Fathers wise men to advise his hard headed son. He has shown complete incompetence to manage the Iraq war, and his choice to run FEMA and then the actions of FEMA, past and present are shameful.
The height of arrogance is to think that this President personally knows what he is doing. Unfortunately, he does not demonstrate the intellect that we all need for America to be a winner on any front. The only thing this President has to his credit is a made up mind. Surely, Obama can be a better President than what we live with from day to day.

I am AMAZED HOW many people did their research on George Bush and his experience.

Funny part, people don´t know that Senator Obama was the EDITOR of the Harvard Law Review which requires you to be at the VERY top of your class.

Funny part is that people don`t remember that Senator Obama interned at the TOP law firm in the country.

Funny part is that people don`t know that Senator Obama was a one man force that started a large domestic accountability program that helped inner city neighborhoods rebuild in Chicago.

Funny part is that you don't remember that Senator Obama was a state legislator for over 8 years before he came to the Senate which gives him almost a DOZEN years of experience.

But that they can believe a former cheerleader, a former 100% failed businessman, a former can´t admit it addict, a former failed Governor who put Texas in the red, a former non-serving National guard ducking regular military service, a man who has lied continuously and still does is our current president. And they believe he is so honorable that his ratings are lower than any other president in life and He HAD THE EXPERIENCE TO BE OUR PRESIDENT.

Personaly I want someone in there who isn't a career politician. It is time somone who can have a fresh outlook on things and not see everything through professional political eyes. We need a "good" person in the white house...not a good politician. Look where we are now with the latter of those leading our country...sure they are living well from what they have done...but how is our country fairing?

The US Presidency is a one-of-a-kind job, so in reality, NO ONE, except Ex-Presidents have the experience.

Because to them it is hope.

Your question goes for Hillary as well.

I would vote for Obama though, cause he has the ideas, and He looks as of a man who keeps his word.... Unlike Hillary who blows so much steam than she can process... Her mouth moving faster than she can think.

A plus side to politics and being a part of is not knowing politics, because the more pro you become in politics the more they corrupt you. Politics are endless loopholes. Loops holes are escapes, and we shouldn't have a president who continues to escape.

I agree with you, I don't feel a senator would make a good president. They lack the experience of leadership. Governors tend to have experience that is more in line with what is required of a president. They have made decisions with regard to energy, funding, balancing budgets. Senators and congress people have not.

Obama is being carried by historians wanting to make him as the first Black President and it is the reason that he is popular.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Obama will likely win.

Intelligence, to me, trumps a few more years of experience. If you read his books, you will see he does have some clear plans and he makes sense. I have followed him since 2004 and feel his is more than capable.

Because he's a novelty, a gimmick, something unusual.

Same with Hilary.

The media is all abuzz about them, and the hype is driving up their poll numbers, but the end result will be that neither of them call 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue their home.
