a quiet . night. only sounds are the birds. nothing entering my mind except the sounds of the night ...and the stars. moon.

Lots of ways. That relaxed feeling you get when you first wake up. That feeling of being sedated when you come out of surgery. Being surrounded by trees on a quiet mountain with no fear of not having enough money. Listening to the birds chirp on your lawn. Just knowing a few people care for you no matter what. A quiet canoe trip. Listening to nature. A firm belief in God(especially the Psalms) Eating a big meal, then vegging out. Reading your favorite book with no time constraints.
There are a lot of ways, yet they seem so few and far between. Sigh

when i picture peacefulness in my mind i see a world that is not at war. a world where we all get a long and there is no hatred of any kind. a world where children are safe to play outside with out any fear.a peaceful world would be a simple world!

yes , l have these places....juniper beach...and the red hills...they are my escape and figure a lot in my paintings..juniper beach is deep blue and violet..with a violet moon, the cliffs are sentinel cliffs and are calm and moonlit..the red hills are a high place....lit with a orange moon and looking down into a deep river valley
