Unless you put something in the message that requires a response or you requested a response, don't assume it wasn't read and appreciated just because you didn't get a response.
And with the volume of junk mail and the aggressive nature of junk mail or spam filters, there is always the possibility your message was lost in the junk or accidentally filtered as junk/spam.

I'm not one who checks every question for thumbs down. I do, however, have a wee nosey at how my answers are doing and get a wee bit miffed if I get any thumbs down, as I feel that I have done my very best to give decent advice and think that some folk are just out to "play around" on the site and do not even read what has been posted!!!

You know something..I agree fully with you..maybe they think you have some underlying motive for emailing them..but if they think that way they shouldn't allow emails in the first place.....good question..starred.

Yeah I know what you mean it doesn't make sense to me either to have your email opton open and then don't reply when people email you.

Yes that has happened to me--so I don't email them or answer their questions anymore. That is pretty stuck-up.

That is part of the game. Think how many emails women are getting. Is your email catching their eye?

yeah, just a simple thanks or i got your e-mail response will do. unless they are one of those annoying people that forward stupid jokes, rhymes, chain letters and ultimately spam (no matter how "sweet" sounding it is) to a mass mailing list then i will NEVER respond. in fact i may tell you to stop sending me junk. that's just bad etiquette.
