I saw a woman (who I did not know) and she said to me and my friend "have a happy holiday girls" and then held up three fingers (like a W) and had her arm held sideways across her body with her elbow kind of sticking out. Does anyone have any idea what this could mean???

The only reference I could find to a three fingered salute is here:

Some times when some one takes a shot of booze they say 'two fingers' Maybe three fingers would be equivalent to saying take more. This would require the fingers to be together.
