Filled with terror only if your definition means surrounded by kids!

Actually my wife and I are in our mid 30s (and kid-less) and often enjoy a few hours there and we have been many times. The roller coaster is excellent and the log ride is pretty fun. There are also several other diversions depending on what you are into.

I wouldn't at all be worried about your safety while there. It definitely going to be safer than any other amusement park.

The Adventuredome is a lot of fun. I've been there a number of times and have never had any problems whatsoever. People don't go to amusement parks to pick fights (as far as I know); they go there to have fun. I'm sure that if you go you'll have a great time. There are cool rides, midway games, restaurants nearby, etc. They also have miniature golf and laser tag. Just make sure you buy the all-day wristband. It's about $23. If you buy tickets for individual rides, it'll cost a whole lot more than the wristband.

It is a fun occasion. If you have kids they will love it.
Plus there is another amusement place at the lower level of the location, past the casino. Many games and amusements for the kids and old kids to have lots of fun.
