IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE PEOPLE OR KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THEM, PLEASE TELL ME WHY DO THESE PEOPLE INSIST ON WRITTING EVERYTHING IN CAPS. THE INTERNET WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PLACE WITHOUT PEOPLE TYPING IN CAPITAL LETTERS.

I couldn't agree more! Perhaps they're too lazy to bother with the proper capitalization; but still, I find all lowercase writing easier to read than all caps is. I only use all caps for a word here or there to emphasize it, since underlining and italics aren't available here in Answers.

It's a way of emphasizing something on here since people can italicize or bold words. It's also "yelling" sometimes. If just a word or two is capitalized...then no biggie...they just want to draw attention to that word....but all of it in all caps...is just rude. Some people aren't familiar with "internet etiquette" though, and may not know this. Maybe their vision isn't the best, and they can see what they're typing better that way. You just never know.

Why did you do it?
-they didn't know caps was on and they don't want to rewrite what they wrote
-they're mad or showing some other emotion
-want to get noticed above all the others who aren't capped
-don't know any better and mean no harm to people like you
-can't see well in lower caps
