as the last name of anyone not likely to ever be elected president of the USA again?
Bush's approval rating isn't the lowest recorded. Truman, Nixon, and Carter's approval ratings still rank far below Bush's. Of course, he still has ample time left to break Nixon's all time record low of 23%.
Although I am not a Bush supporter, my hope is that Bush will turn things around, rather than take America farther down this road of cacophony. If all things remain the same and Bush stays the course, it seems to me that anyone with the name Bush would be unelectable for generations.
Your thoughts?

yes, but until the late 90's, Truman was never considered a good president. Now, people consider him a good president. It is too difficult to judge history through the eye of the present.

Bush is in a league of his own. The bottom of the pit. He makes Nixon and Hoover look honest and intelligent. Never thought that would be possible but he and his adminstration did it. Carter doesn't even come close to being one of the worst.

I've been around since Eisenhower was president - never heard of a good president while they were in office. Heck JFK was chewed out as having no experience and worst he was a Catholic. Today those characteristic would only here a bit of noise from the ACLU. As presidents retire they seem to then have a judgment put on them. George W, will have a favorable opinion.

You could compare him to Hoover if you are talking about vacuum cleaners. They both suck.
