I was thinking that both Jordin & Blake did an okay job with the song, but I think it could have been done better with a vocalist with a bigger voice. I was a big Melinda person, but I don't think that the song would have been a good choice for her.
I think this song is right up Phil Stacey's alley. It has that slow ballad feel, and multiple places where his strong vocals would have knocked it out. He wasn't the best or consistent singer this year, but you can't deny he can belt out some good songs.
I don't think Phil would have been in the final, but it would be interesting to hear how he sounded.

I honestly can't believe that was the best song out of all of the submissions! My husband ADORES Jordin, to the point of calling her his "Nubian Princess"...even he couldn't stand to have to listen to her singing that garbage song again...
I think it's a perfect song for a Disney movie.
I don't know that I'd like to hear Phil sing it...I love his voice, and quite enjoyed seeing him perform, but I think he has a slightly edgier style than this (hideous, horrible) song would allow for.

Hmmm....I agree that the song wasn't suited to either of the finalists, but I really don't think Phil could have pulled it off either. I think it was really unfair that they made Jordin and Blake sing that song, though. Jordin did OK with it, but that song just didn't fit Blake. I think it's the reason why he won't win.

I agree it would be interesting to hear how any of them sang the single, however both Blake and Jordin deserve to be in the top two! And out of the two I think Jordin sang it best!

I disagree, Jordin did a great job with that song, Phil was mediocre at best.

I love that song and I personally think Jordan did way better than blake but i do agree Phil would have sounded great singin that song

I didn't care for the song. Jordin pulled it off, but Blake shoulda made it a bit funkier.
Sorry to a previous poster, I think it is ridiculous to say that Blake is ASEXUAL. He is very sexy and sassy in his performance style.

I agree I think that Lakisha would have done good with that song too. I am a huge Melinda fan and was very upset when she was booted last week. Phil wasn't really all that bad.

unfortunately i missed this weeks episode,but i wish it would have been a melinda/jordin final how beat boxing blake is still there is beyond me.i think jordin as a very good voice but last years contestants were all better singers in my opinion.

i thought it was an odd choice of song... considering jordin is only 17 and cant nec relate to it, and blake is like asexual... he hasnt really done a love song, ballad like that and it was obvious.
i didnt like the song , but, jordin did what she could.

He has a broad voice and that song could have got him further in the competition if he had the chance to perform it.
