Because:
You can't have Capitalism without Freedom.
And you can't have Freedom without Capitalism.
Freedom & Capitalism are the same thing.
(The Democrat Party is against us common people having either one.
But the Democrat Politicians want both for themselves, and their Rich Ruling Class Friends.)

I think you're mistaken, as are all Americans. We do not live, I repeat, we do not live in a democracy. We live in a Republic.

"And to the REPUBLIC, for which it stands"

Anyway, I think the way "democracy" promotes capitalism is at the very basis of it all. The free exchange of ideas, goods and services with no government interference. I almost cannot imagine living in a democracy with a communist-style economy.

The U.S. owes its success and prosperity to the combination of three factors: science, democracy, and capitalism.

Our democracy assures us of the liberty we need to be creative and succeed through hard work. Democracy gives us the freedom we need to have a vibrant culture, makes the rule of law possible, and enables educational opportunities for anyone who aspires to learn and expand their potential. One of the tenets of democracy (as opposed to a form of government like Communism) is private property ownership, and that is the key to having a capitalist society. Democracy, unlike Communism, allows people to make a profit, and have private enterprise, which is the definition of capitalism.

The interaction between science and capitalism produced the great technology upon which our economy and society is now based. It has made possible a standard of living that would have been inconceivable 100 years ago.

Therefore, it the interaction between science, democracy, and capitalism that produced the unique American society.

Democracy itself is government where every person has a vote. Where democracy began, in ancient Greece, it was practical in some cases for EVERY citizen to vote, but as cities became bigger, representatives of areas were elected and republics were formed - which the US is.
Since many citizens own businesses or stock in corporations, they naturally want them to do well, and try to vote so as to help that happen.
That is how democracy promotes - and regulates - capitalism.

Capitalism is, by definition, using money to make money. Or shall I say it is banking and investing.
Do you mean "Free Enterprise"?
Democracy doesn't promote either but many people would choose to be productive and use the free enterprise system to provide for their families.
Hopefully democracy will continue to allow that to happen.

In a capitalist country you can practice democracy --and only in a democratic country capitalists can rule.
In a communist State there can be no capitalists, except the state.
In military /Nawab/kingsly states the capitalists and rulers are one and the same.
Thus capitalism and democracy are the two sides of a coin and will have currency value only if they compliment and supplement each other.

Because of the freedoms in a democracy, people can make as much money as they want and its theirs, unlike communism,
Due to alot of loopholes in our tax laws, only the low, and middle class pay tax, therefore the capital for many is very high. hence capitalism.
