turn the stairs into mattress and have lots of pillows at the bottom! just kidding. why do you want to do that anyway? what do you gain besides a feeling of achievement? but.. now that makes me want to try it! : ) good luck!

Why would you need to do that anyway?
Do you mean whilst doing a handstand or on your hands and knees? If it's on your hands and knees I'd say go down backwards, feet first. If it's in a handstand I'd say not at all or at least have a big matress at the bottom to land on although if you fell it'd be the trip down which banged you up rather than the bottom. I know a guy has climbed the empire state building stairwell in a handstand.

Set up a pulley system on the ceiling above the stairs, tie your feet to a rope attached to the pulley and walk your way down on your hands..

Practice on a padded mat first, be very careful. Good Luck, also try practicing going up and down on your very bottom step, so it is safer. <3
