Voting is just a right and not mandatory. Thus, people must be indoctrinated that their vote is important so that the true leaders will be chosen if all voters will exercise their right.

It shouldn't be mandatory at all, what good would that do. The people that really care will vote.

When you are free to vote or not to vote, everybody votes: the ones that don't are voting for the guy who wins. Then they think they can complain....

When you have the right to do something, you have the right NOT to do it, or else you don't have rights.

I vote, but I think many others are not motivated because, a.) they don't believe their vote makes a difference thanks to systems like the electoral college and things like fraud, or b.) they don't feel as though ANY of the candidates represent them accurately and take issue with voting for the lesser of two evils.

You could do like Michael Moore and offer fre undies and top ramen if you vote.
