i collect nutcrackers... any idea on where to get antique ones? or handmade ones that dont cost like $500?

nutcrackers, like the kind from the ballet. not the kind you actually use to crack nuts

i've collected them since before i can remember, my oldest ones i dont remember getting, my newest one is a handmade steinbach Braumeister, it's beautiful

I would love to expand my collection, but handmade nutcrackers and antique ones are expensive!!!

my Steinbach cost 130 on discount and thats about the most i can spend on any given nutcracker

The beauty oif being a real collector is that even if you can't afford every single one, the ones you do have are valuable. Instead of buying 5 mediocre ones, save up for a year and get one really amazing one. You'll be a lot happier.

I would thin that the nutcrackers would be much cheaper if you could buy them direct from Germany. Maybe you could order direct over the internet. See also Leavenworth, Washington but it likely won't be cheap (nothing there is).
