Not even close.

A college team has the best players, but a pro team has the best of the best players. The speed and intensity of an NFL player is different. Its common for a college to have 220lb Linebackers with blazing speed, whereas the pros are 250 with the same speed.

What good would Peyton or LT be with a line that could block? How about Urlacher being picked up by an all pro receiver or offensive tackle.

I'm a USC fan; we run a pro style offense, but the worst team (Raiders) would destroy us. Remember, Oakland had the #3 defense in the league. John David Booty would never get the ball in the air.

well peyton would have no time to throw. he would be getting murdered. LT would just have to cut outside because he would have no holes to run through, even with hutchinson, because the other blockers would be no match for the NFL players. Urlacher would make some plays, but he can't do it all himself. Champ would merely just shut down the wide receiver he was covering and the qb on the opposing team would just throw successfully to the other side of the field. it would be a terrible game and the NFL team would win. think of how many colleges players there are and how few make the NFL and how even fewer become starters.

the best college team could not beat the worst nfl team

No, there is not a chance. If you think about it only about 5 or 6 guys get drafted into the NFL by a team like florida. That still leaves mostly all the other guys on the team who would get absolutly killed by the pros Even with LT he woudlnt' be able to run because the florida line wouldn't stand a chance at Running. Even with Urlacher and bailey the D still would get run over. And for peyton manning, any team can cover the college WR well.

No. No college team could ever ever beat a pro team. What everyone tends to forget, is even though some pro teams are awful to watch and lose a ton of games, they are still pros. Maybe 5 players on a given college team are going to the NFL in a year? Every single player on the Raiders or the Lions is IN the NFL. The speed is faster, they are stronger, and a QB is only one position. A college line could never hold an NFL line, on either side of the ball. The other arguement is a ridiculous one.

Yes, but it would be difficult. I mean you have to think about, or all of those collage guys ready to play at that level. I mean tak Florida they won the whole thing and their starter QB Chris Leak didn't even get drafted. While even the worst team in the NFL still have great guys. But with Manning, Hutchinson, Urlacher, and Camp Bailey they'd win but it would be very hard to beat Oakland. This would be the game of a lifetime. I predict 35-28.

Basically could USC with Peyton Manning beat the Raiders...no I think even the Raiders would be able to handle USC with Manning. Keep in mind even the worst NFL team is still comprised with the top 5% of the College Talent. But its an interesting question and I'd love to see the game.

Probably not.

Take the University of Florida. How many of those guys would be ready for the pros immediately? A guess of six to eight might even be on the high side. That leaves 16 to 18 players who aren't close to NFL ability. Manning isn't going to make that sort of difference up.

Those five guys would obviously make a game out of it, but I would still lean toward the team with 22 NFL players over five.

One thought along those lines -- one time I was watching the second half of an NFL exhibition game, which was filled with players who weren't expected to make the final roster or fill supporting roles if they did. I asked someone how good that team would be in college. This football expert guessed somewhere in the top 25, although it didn't have the skill position talent to be ranked higher.

I would normally say yes, but if you think about it very few guys playing college football have the physical ability, and size to compete on that level. and sure those additional players you are giving them is great, but what happens when they key the run on defense? What college reciever right now is ready to run a route against a pro d coordinator and pro corners/safetys also sure you got champ, but what about your other corner? And I am a huge bear fan but Urlacher can't get off of a block to save his life all you have to do is run right at him. So I would have to go with the raiders in a squeker 21- 17

Peyton couldn't even beat Nebraska when they played in the orange bowl in 1998 so I doubt it. Of course with all of those players on the college team it would be a pro team unless you're talking about when they were in college. Still, a pro team again college players is no match. Pro players are way better.

Not a chance. They are pros for a reason. Lets say USC has him. Still the worst team has 22 players that were some of the best at their position who know what they are doing and are in much better physical shape then they are because of the years of training they have had.
