What all do you have to do to help out Fred Thompson?
I don't particularly like any of the other republicans running but i'm not about to vote democrat. I've looked up the stances of the promising republicans and for one reason or another i dislike what i see. Rudy is a social liberal but promises not to enforce any of those views while in office which means he's to p#ssy to stand up for what he believes in. McCain isn't sure which voice to listen to from one week to the next. As much potential as Romney has, i don't know if i want a president that doesn't sit down to relax every once in a while with a drink and/or cigar/cigarette. Don't even get me stared on Ron Paul! And all the rest are wannabes.

Thompson is the only one running that i agree with almost 100% and he is also an "old republican". I'm tired of neo/moderate/liberal republicans trying to play both sides of the fence. Thompson is the only one running with real experience in law and government. He was even on the committee that took down Nixon. He has more presidential qualities then almost all the runners have combined.

mechanical_prints2: Why does every liberal in here think that because of one bad republican president, all republicans...?
need to convert to liberalism?
I see questions and answers all the time saying things like "if you're still a republican after bush, you must be stupid." Thats like saying 'if you're still a democrat after Clinton, you must be an adulterer.'
Lots of republicans don't like bush very much at this point but that doesn't mean they have to give up on everything else republicans stand for! Why should bush determine that we shouldn't have another republican president when none of the potential 2008 republican candidates are even comparable to him? I think the democrat runners have more in common with bush now then the republican counter parts.
