Popularity is having a lot of friends. Being well liked by others. Some people would say having more than three phone calls in one day. Lots of friends who call you up all the time and want to hang out with you. Lots of people know you very well and are always wanting to hang out with you and spend time with you. I'm a lot more popular now than I was in high school 13 years ago, but it is not very important to me.

A lot of people knowing who you are.
I'd honestly rather not be popular. All the "popular" people at my school have more people that hate them than anyone. Most of them are stuck on themselves and won't even look at you if you don't wear the right stuff or live in the right neighborhood. I used to be close friends with a lot of "popular" people and now they won't make eye contact. It's ridiculous.
I'd rather just chill in the background with my posse.

Popularity is being well-liked... a lot of ppl think of "the popular kids" as being the cheerleaders and the basketball or football players, but everyone's popular, or well-liked, within their own group, whether it be... ... I do think it is important to be well-liked, but it is also important to keep in mind that popularity isn't everything, and that not everyone is going to like you.

Popularity SEEMS to be the people who are rich, beautiful etc and shallow. Well that's what it is in my school. Oh yeah and you have to get drunk evrery weekend (Cause thats soooo cool. NOT.)
I would be lying if I said popularity wasn't important to me at all, I mean yeah it would be nice to have people know my name and people respect you (even if for the wrong reasons) but at the end of the day my friends are more important and I'd rather be happy and be myself.

Popularity is being well known for something you do or something you are. It can be a negative or a positive thing.
It isn't that important, because I hate being the center of attention and would die if everyone had to pay attention to every thing I do, because most of the things I do are mistakes.

Popular to me means well liked by the general public. It could be a movie, a book, a person, or anything. I'm not a popular person. I have friends, plenty of them, but I'm not one of those who needs the adoration and attention of strangers.

I'm popular with my family and close friends. As far as being known around town and having people come in and out of my house like I have a revolving door no thanks

most (popular kids) get bad grades and then they live in public wash rooms and smoke drugs popualrty is not a very good thing turst me i had a (popular) firned same thing happned to him

popularity is basically "how many people know you"
or it could also be "how many people that know you, liek you"
it's more important to me that i know people really well, rather than have a whole bunch of people who i only partially know.
