Yes ... what is the question?
Evolution is the scientific theory.
Intelligent Design is the pseudo-scientific theory (creationism in disguise).
{edit}
> "What about the 2nd law of thermodynamics, "Going from order to dis order" "
The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics only applies to *closed* systems (a system with no outside source of energy). The earth, and life on it, is not a closed system (it has an outside source of energy). Therefore the evolution of life on earth does not violate the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics at all.
Now Intelligent Design? That *does* violate the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, unless you can identify the outside source of energy for that Intelligence, and the mechanism it uses to convert that energy into order (i.e. Design).
In other words, people who argue for Intelligent Design will present objections to evolution, but then fail to apply those same questions to Intelligent Design.

In reference to the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics - that applies in a closed system.
In order to defy the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, even temporarily, a system requires an input of energy from an outside source.
In living organisms on Earth, the chief outside source of that energy is the Sun. Without the energy provided through either photosynthesis, or through consuming the energy-holding molecules produced through photosynthesis, living organisms go through the process of entropy - run out of energy, die and rot.
Without that outside source of energy, evolution would not occur, nor would life itself exist.
Thus, neither life nor evolution violate the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics (as is often claimed by Creationists), but is instead inextricably bound by its consequences.
The idea of the eternal soul, however, does violate that Law.
And the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics has no bearing on the question of the validity of Intelligent Design - presumably whatever the guiding 'intelligence' was, it was also bound by the conservation of energy.

Intelligent design.
Yes, I believe in the Bible.

Emucompboy:
First, you can't say that we cannot see when a designer would have acted. Obviously, if we had been created, it would be at the very beginning. There wouldn't be a point in history where you could say "Oh, it happened then."
Besides that, you haven't factored in that the universe may well have been (as is my belief) created with apparent age - meaning instead of creating a seed, the plant itself, fully grown, was created, etc.
Your second argument is completely skewed. Are you trying to say that you are going to ignore the vast complexities of even one cell of the human body, and complain that because of a couple small problems - like, your wearing glasses - you can completely rule out intelligent design?
My question is, have you ever heard of ENTROPY? The universe is in a constant state of decay.
Besides that is my belief, from the Bible, that we live in a fallen world and it has been so since Adam first sinned. Before that, everything was perfect, just how God designed it to be. Now, we have problems like needing glasses, having cancer, even getting a cold.
As to your friend's appendix - the fact that you can live without your appendix doesn't mean it's unnecessary baggage. Scientists believe that the appendix functions in digestion and in the body's defense against infection.
People used to think the pituitary gland was a vestigial structure, but it's now known to produce many hormones that carefully regulate the body's metabolism. Without the hormones it creates, you would die.
So don't act is if you know everything, because you don't, and you never will. There's always more to learn and more discoveries to make.

evolution. of which the 2nd law of thermodynamics doesn't contradict. the 2nd law of thermo. applies to closed and isolated systems. Earth isn't a closed, isolated system, as we have the sun that "rises" every day. As Michael Shermer said, "Evolution no more breaks the Second Law of Thermodynamics than one breaks the law of gravity by leaping into the air."

the second law of thermodynamics only applies to a CLOSED system, if there is energy being added to the system, that energy can be used to increase order. The Earthi s not a closed system, it recieves energy from the sun.
Evolution is true, creationism is nonsense.

Time is not a constant. Even if it were not It could not have begun before creation. Creation and evolution follow the same pattern first the heavens, then the earth, then water, then water animals, then birds, then animals, then man.
So if god is not bound by time then a day to him may be from when he starts his work until it is finished. could be 24 hours or 10,000 years.
"Could evolution be the process of creation?"
This would help explain where the other people came from for Cain to marry. As the first people were in the garden not aging do to gods intervention others evolved to homo sapiens.

Rene,
Intelligent Design is just Creationism in a fancy tuxedo.
Evolution is a fact.
It makes since that something simple changed into something more complex.
Intelligent Design doesn't answer the problem, it only makes it more complicated. A creator can only make something less complex than itself. Here, we start with something complex from the start. Then we made things simple then they went to more complex bodies..Who made the creator?
Read God Delusion by Richard Dawkins he's a professor from Oxford.

Evolution.
There is no direct evidence of a Intelligent Designer(s). Looking at the fossil record, we can't tell when an Intelligent Designer(s) would have acted, nor what he/she/it/they would have done at that time.
Also - I wear glasses because my eyes don't focus properly without them. I had my wisdom teeth out because there was no room in my jaw at age 25 for them to come in straight. A friend of mine had her appendix out. All of these things add up to intelligent design not being involved in our design.

Intelligent design is based on a hopeless genetic fantasy of pre-formed genes waiting for organisms that might need them to gradually appear.

EVOLUTION. There is no other way.
Facts speak for themselves.
Beliefs speak for the ones that do not accept the facts.
