benitez got it wrong, kuyt and bellamy should of started together, cos of milan's ageing defence. gerrard had a poor game. we never even had one shot on target all game. i didn't even bother to watch the celebrations. i would've got upset and smashed my telly. the first goal was handball and the second one was offside. liverpool struggle that sometimes. that is why they can't compete with the likes of arsenal, man u and chelsea in the championship. the luckier team won and i can take that. it was a poor game though and neither team deserved to win. in some cases age is better than quality

I think liverpool were by far the better team in the first half Milans first goal was dodgy but the second one there was nothing wrong with I don t know about deserved to loose but i think we should have got it in to extra time atleast. I can t have too many complaints about the game at the end off the day milan got two we got one thats how football goes sometimes on another day our shots might have gone in. I think that we can take a few positives out of the game Mascherano was excelent Pennant played well so did Risse. We just go tired in the second half. But well done to Milan

No they didn't deserve to lose the game....they were the better footballing team in the first half and maybe shaded it in the second half.

That said there were not many chances by both sides so it was always going to be a close game.

Maybe Benitez was a little (and i don't mean to be harsh) negative in playing only Kuyt up front, i mean christ they have Kaka and Inzaghi up front so Liverpool have to be sort of defensive minded. Again that said Liverpool were the 'better looking' attacking side.

Look again the second goal was not offside and the first goal was ball to hand.....simply unlucky with a capital U.

I am a Man U fan and I don't know which game you watched either. They looked the most likely team to win it in the first half up to the goal which was a lucky deflection. Milan only got their second because Liverpool had to take risks and the ir goal was the best of the game for me. I would rather it have been Man U there but was cheering you scousers on. Look forward to next season and hope both L'pool and Arsenal get back to being competitive in the Prem, makes it more exciting when it comes to the seasons end. Good Luck

Some good points. I agree Bellamy should have played but I don't think they deserved to lose. We weren't outstanding or anything but I think we did play well. We we're in control for a lot of the first half so really we should have scored and I think if Kuyt and Bellamy had started we would have had a better chance. At the end of the day, being in control counts for nothing if you can't score.

I'm just looking forward to next season now though.

I'm also a Liverpool fan, and I have NO idea what game you were watching. Firstly, LIverpool officially had 5 shots on goal in the first half alone, so don't know where you got your "never even had one shot on target all game" from. Secondly, I agree with you about the 1st Milan goal, but the 2nd goal was legit, even if it was damn lucky. Just accept that although LIverpool played better, they just couldn't finish.

agreed - kuyt and bellamy should have played, with their pace they would have caused milan matchfixers defence a lot of problems. gerrard was too far forward, he should have played deeper supporting kuyt and bellamy with through passes and those penetraing runs he does so well. liverpool didn't play to their strengths, and although they dominated the game and milan were pretty rubbish, liverpool didn't create enough chances or do enough to win.

i can see your points and agree on some of the points and i am a liverpool fan but the underlying problem all season and last has been the inability to score goals they create plenty of chances but lack a world class finisher this must be benitezs main worry crouch is not the answer the best team won because they scored more goals

Good analysis, but Liverpool out played Milan.

It was not one of the best games of Livepoolo, but even so, Milan did not deserve to win any more then Livepool deserved to lose.
