80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Life does not have a meaning so much as a nature.

The nature of Life is to :
A) Collect energy/food
B) Reproduce
C) Avoid being eaten.

The beauty of life is the myriad ways it does these things.

So, unless you want God or Darwin to toss you out of the gene pool.

A) Make some money.
B) Make some babies.
C) Support Soldiers and Police.

Satisfaction- to be satisfied or content with what you have and are. That is what life is, when one lives. To some it's an empire, mansions and fortunes, to others its perhaps a little lean to in the country side that the huzzle and buzzling concrete sidewalks and paved streets have yet to disrupt. Where the nearest freeway is miles away through nature's isolated passages. This, to me,is the real meaning of life.
CONTENTMENT

For me the real meaning of life is discovering who you are and what you can be. This is going to keep you moving and active because your focus in being able to easily discover yourself is not YOU but the OTHERS. The only best way you can be sure you will find your real self is through others. However, this does not mean you don't need to look at yourself, in fact, you need to look at yourself as to who you really are, who you think you are, and what others think you are. Then share yourself to others, and when the others reciprocate, you will find that you enjoy each other as you focus on giving yourself to the others. Remember what the scripture says? What you give returns to you a thousand fold and in relation to this, "Do unto others what you would want them to do unto you".

So you want life? Give it!!! Give life to others! Then you will see your own real life.

living. in every sense of the word. We cannot be sure of what will happen to our soul (assuming such a thing exists) so by living a life that balances your desires and dreams with the realistic means to them you are living a meaningful life... for yourself.

It's simple, we dont have a clue... Just do whatever the hell feels good whenever the hell you want as long as it doesnt hurt anybody else... And if u do whatever the hell makes you feel good throughout your life you're gonna die happy... and as far as i can tell thats all that matters... (just pray for an ever after)

Love. Even though it can ravage you & tear your heart to shreds it is still the most beautiful experience & the most profound reason for living.

Even if you don't find romantic love, love yourself, your family, friends, pets, the world, hobbies, nature, music. Love something or it means nothing.

Life is the proving ground where we show ourselves worthy of eternal life. Since none of us is ever worthy, it is a time given to us to accept the salvation of Jesus Christ which makes us holy in God's sight.
