I have an apt made for when I am 10 weeks pregnant, and I want to know what they will do on that day. Do they do an ultrasound? When will I find out the sex of my baby?

they will probably just listen for a heart beat, maybe an internal exam. The sex comes at about 18-20 weeks.

They will do a pee test on you to make sure that you do not have protein or an infection in your bladder or kidneys. They will also use a doppler to detect the baby's heartbeat. I'm not sure if they will do an ultrasound yet...some doctor's offices are different...some will and some will not! Some wait until you're 18-20 weeks along to do an ultrasound!

they probably will to an ultrasound and gender determination does not come until after 16 weeks closer to 20. Be sure to ask for photos they dont offer them you must ask. congrats

Some docs may only do an ultrasound if you dont know the date of conception.
