Can't collect disability if you or the company haven't paid for disability insurance. Its not always something that is just offered. Some companies don't even elect to offer it to their employees. I used my short term disability insurance for my maternity leave and it is legal to do that, because your doctor will not allow you to return to work for at least 6 weeks, therefore you are disabled. But, I've been paying for this short term disability insurance out of pocket since I started working with this company 15 years ago.
Very few people are willing to hire pregnant women. But since its a temp agency and the jobs aren't always permanent they may be willing.

If you have short term disability insurance you can generally use it from 2 weeks prior to your due date until 6 weeks after the birth, or 8 weeks total (depending on when the baby is actually born). If you have a c-section sometimes you can get 10 weeks. But you can only use short term disability, not long term. Also, it should be a policy that you already have or you may not get it at all. As for the temp agency, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't hire you. You'll probably end up on jobs that are a day or week here and there though and will most likely do a lot of office work. Good luck.

Probably not. Pregnancy is not a disability. And more importantly, temporary service companies are just that: temporary....they don't have to provide you with any parental leave time, or many other benefits, as they are not employing you (most likely not) full-time. Only companies that hire full-time have Federal Protection Rules to protect them like you are thinking of. So no, no way.

You're not entitled to anything simply because you're pregnant, sorry. It's not a disability and you're not crippled. Stop looking for ways to score money without actually earning it.
