It means you pay for your cell minutes up front. When you use up all your minutes your phone stops working until you pay for more minutes.

Pre- paid means that you have pre-paid for so many minutes and they have an expiration date to be used up.

it means you have to buy cards like 150 minute cards and you dial em in on ur phone and it adds 150 minutes to ur phone like a Go Phone
