I would call Legends the most fascinating, because they are often connected with historical persons, yet add the fabulous, mythical, and varied narratives to build a whole story. I would call the parables the most inspiring, because the haggadic narrative deals with a particular problem and proposes solutions. Fairy Tales are magical, they can have morals, but mostly are light entertainment. Mythology deals with power, gods and godesses, it's good if not taken literally or used to build a theology.

Mythology is the most fascinating because each religion and each culture has their own set of mythology.
Legends is most inspiring because the essence of legends is they are very impressive.
I'm adding one: Parable are most useful.
fairytales, on the other hand, never did anyone any good. I have no use for them.

I love mythology, mostly Greco-Roman and Asian mythology and legend is also very fascinating to me.
As for inspiration, I can't say which of the ones you listed would inspire me most...probably legend because there's a bit of pomp to them.
Most of the fairy tales we have come to know and love have been modified from their rather gruesome original story lines. The Disney versions are quite inspirational, but I think I'd take parables over fairy tales due to their pedantic nature.

All of the above as Mythology includes legends, parables and fairy tales. Mythology, legends, parables and fairy tales are part of a same structure and ideal.

A legend through fact you would be remembered perpetually.whether you die human beings will bear in mind.occasion-MJ.A legend will continually stay legend and could be enjoyed by way of human beings perpetually.So being a legend is nearly a Fairytale.

the most fascinating for me are the ancient forms of story telling...mythology and legends. I am fascinated by the reasons for these things...the oral tradition the ancient wisdom they impart, the depth, the emotional sensitivity . they captivate young old and in between.
the myths and legends are inspiring for me as well because of the immense gift of spirituality and emotional awareness they impart on us 'modern' evolved people...HA HA HA
