Then select the last tab (startup if I remember)
turn off anything in that list that doesn't belong...

Possibly going into the Add and Remove Programs "tool" accessible from the Control Panel will help you remove it.
You should find whatever the name of the toolbar is and then click Change or Remove.
Also, if you have an actual toolbar, why not try right clicking on it and seeing if you can delete or uninstall it that way.

You might be able to use your System Restore to fix it...
Try using system restore to "roll back" to a time before it got downloaded. Mine is set to make checkpoints once or twice a day, just in case.
PS: You may want to consider some kind of Internet Security software, preferably with Anti-Virus.

1. try control panel add/remove programs
2. do a search for the program and delete the files from the search window
3. go to programs under the C: drive and delete the folder.

Click on the START button on your taskbar, click ALL PROGRAMS, then select the Security Toolbar with your cursor, which will give you the option of UNINSTALLing it. Click on UNINSTALL and you are free.

ignore that page where it says your probably have a virus and download here the lates anti-virus technology.. its just adware for you to buy their products... just get a good anti-virus and firewall program and it will block those pages from loading
