I'm against a gun ownership... statistically you have a better chance shooting a family member than an attacker...

I own a gun to protect my family. So what you are saying is that I shouldn't have the right to protect my family when someone with bad intentions breaks into my home at 2 in the morning and tries to rape my wife and daughter? Or that I should be powerless while they rob me out of house and home, take off and never get caught? I don't care if you agree or not. I am doing nothing more than excercising my right to the 2nd Amendment. So deal with it.

No, why take away the decent citizens right to self defense and let the criminal element still be armed?
As for the gun laws, you and I don't have enough time to read all the laws presently on the books, we don't need more, just enforcement of the existing laws.

No, because it is a constitutional right. If we stop people from having guns, we should also stop people from freely speaking their opinion, or force them to follow one religion, or their private lives are open to scrutiny by anyone and everyone. Defeats the purpose of the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Do you think it would cause criminals to give up their guns? Because if it doesn't, and you take away a citizen's right to defend themselves, you will create a nation full of sitting ducks.

Imagine, if guns were banned, gun runners would be as common as drug runners across the Mexico boarder.

Since it won't happen we have to let it go. I think we should just work a lot harder to make sure only responible people get them. Guns bought legally are far too often resold to criminals, that has to be stopped.

I'd say most gun owners are good gun owners that don't use their weapons illegally or act stupid with them

I don't think stopping people from having guns is a reasonable solution.

people that are pulling the trigger in the urban cities, are not the law abiding citizens from the state that allow you to easily purchase guns.

Well, why don't you first find a way to stop criminals from having guns.

After you accomplish that, then we can start talking about taking them from responsible gun-owning law-abiding citizens.

I would rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6.... You choose do you want to be a survivor or a victim? Do you want to be a Predator or Prey?

No, by making guns illegal you are only going to hurt the law abiding citizens of the country. Criminals who use guns to do illegal things (murder, robbery etc...) are still going to do that. Believe me, if guns were to be made illegal not one criminal is going to turn in his or her gun to law enforcement. Guns will always exist, it just depends on who you want owning them - law abiding citizens for protection and criminals, or just criminals.
