I think the plan would be to keep the war over there. The democrat plan would be to bring our troops home then have the war here. I guess we'll be more comfortable fighting the war in our home towns than over there. That way mommy will see her sons fighting on her street not in another country far away. Wait till the election gets closer, watch the news. Ofcourse when the war is here that will be Bush's fault too.

surprise, no one ever intended to leave, lessen the violence yes, gain 'control' and stability, yes. Leave, no. Two reasons:
1. It's a long sought after base in the region, like germany, phillipenes, spain. They won't be leaving. Most troops will come home when the colonial army is established. But there will be a base likely one in baghdad and one outside for later conflicts on the drawing board. As they've already told us they will keep a 'reactionary force'. This will happen regardless of the outcome. Haliburton is the british east india company in all of this. Political 'connections' and all.
2. Oil, protecting haliburton.

He doesn't have a plan for getting us out of Iraq, he has a plan for getting HIMSELF out of the White House. His exit strategy is to exit the White House and leave the whole mess in someone else's hands. And spend the next 4 years complaining about whatever his successor does, and that all would have been better if we had 'stayed the course.'

There never was a plan to leave Iraq, the true plan was to lead the American people on. Cheney and other administration shills now say the war on terror will last for generations, and Iraq is the center of the war. 14 military bases have been built there and they are intended to be permanent.

There is no plan to get us out of Iraq. He has said that as long as he's in charge, he will not consider it.
His plan for winning - I'm not sure, he is asking for tens of thousands more troops, but simultaneously has plans to bring force against Iran (which is 3 times bigger than Iraq).
I think everyone, liberal or conservative, can agree that planning for this war has not been sufficient.

Plan? You mean we have to have a plan? I'll alert the media. (Only the so called liberal media. Fox will have to find out for themselves). Actually Dubya's plan is brilliant. It is better than anyone would have expected. You turn it over to a war czar and then hope it lasts into the next Administration so you don't have to deal with REAL issues.

He doesn't have one. He never did. That's the difference between Iraq and Vietnam: For Vietnam, Bush had an exit strategy.
It is a great travesty that the above has now become an old joke. And it's getting less funny.

Why ask us? You think we can read his mind? Why not ask THE PRESIDENT...write him a letter (you use paper, an envelope and a 41c stamp). Here's his address
President George W. Bush (or present occupant)
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C. 20500-0001

He has no plan - it's "stay the course" until the next president comes into office, and they'll be the one to deal with the mess.
