I am doing a project proposal for an assignment for my english project, and I need some help figuring out the budget on building a new movie theater, if anyone knows a price range or exact price or has any information on this at all please let me know it would be great appreciated.

Used to work for a major chain. Totally depends on the location and size. Multi-plexes are the only profitable theaters lately and have been so for years. Figure minimum of a few $100K plus land in the sticks ranging to a few $million in a major suburban area. You can build an art house in an old theater that you get for practically nothing in an out of the way farm town for $150k, but don't expect to make a living.

Considering if you shall build say, a 2 screen basic movie theater, i would say a couple million dollars or so...
