does anyone know what these symbols mean?

^ ^ ^ the bottom is supposed to be U upside down. it what i don't understand is the answer

A ∩ B means the set that contains all those elements that A and B have in common.

Intersection symbol ... intersect ...
... intersected with ... Sets A∩B = B∩A

In binary it means "cap"

thats not a very clear description... an upside down U means the intersection of two sets
