I realy need help im tring to install linux (ubuntu) on my acer aspire 3053 but everytime i boot off of the dish i get pc-dos and the command letter |A:| ive treid using the cds letter E: but it does nothing the boot disk is in iso format anyone help me?

I am sorry, but you did not provide enough details.

If it's ISO, you should BURN the ISO to the appropriate media. Then use that media. If you want to use ISO directl you need to load various emulation software which will cause more problems.

And I can't read minds, so I can't tell what's your A: drive and the rest of your drives really are. Nor do I know your BIOS boot order.

you need to set your bios to boot from the CD rom drive, this boots up from the cd,

go to acer website support and ask how you can get into the bios to set up cd rom to be the first boot disk,

then retry to install ubuntu again

did you make the ubuntu a ISO systems boot up disk?
or did you just copy the download file to a blank cd

well make sure the cd is bootable with iso buster and then make sure ur comp is set to boot from cd first

Can't you set the bios to boot to the CD?

Maybe the image didn't burn correctly, try burning the disc again and don't forget to finalize it so it will be bootable
