they must be the longest-lasting band in history, right? were all the musicians there from the beginning?, there must have been some changes in the composition of the band..?
PS I am not a fan, but the guitarist Keith >Richards was staying in the hotel where I got married and yelled "congratulations!" to us, from his presendentail suite, but we didn´t hear him, the next day we saw him in the spa, but didn´t talk...

They have been touring and recording since 1962. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts are the 3 original members left. The bassist Wyman is not dead, he left in the late 90's. Brain Jones was fired in the late 60's and Mick Taylor quit in the mid 70's. Ron Wood replaced him in 75 and has been a member since. This year is thier 45th year together.

There have been several line up changes since the band formed in the early 1960s, but the three constant members have always been Mick Jagger Keith Richards and Charlie Watts. They don't tour all the time, usually about every second year. They may not look it now, but back in the day this band was great. They played gritty r & b music, and the vocals weren't always great, but they sort of fit. Drove the young girls wild, and the parents crazy.

No, they haven't. In fact, according to David Letterman, their next tour will be entitled, "Van Full of Grandpas". :0)
