I'm not available to help set it up, but I might be able to lend a hand in taking it down... let me know...

You don't know the first even number, so call it x.
The next even number is x + 2.
the next even after that is x + 4.
"The sum of" means add them up.

(x) + (x + 2) + (x + 4) > 43. Combining like terms,
3x + 6 > 43. Adding -6,
3x > 37. Dividing by 3,
x > 37/3, or x > 12 1/3. Since you're looking for the smallest even integers that work, pick the first even number after 12 1/3 for x. It's 14. The other evens, then, are 16 and 18.

n + (n+2) + (n+4) > 43 ......... <<<==== set up here
3n + 6 > 43
3n > 37
n > 12.333
n = 14

14 + 16 + 18 = 48 ....

seems to work
try lower
12 + 14 + 16 = 42 ..

must be good

choose first integer as 2n (it is even whatever n is)
second 2n+2
third 2n+4
all are consecutive even integers
sum is 6n+6 which is also even so it must be equal to 44+x in order to be the smallest
6n+6=44+x
6n=38+x
smallest x satisfies is 4
6n=42
2n=14 answer!
the others are 16 and 18

14+16+18

for the equation: x + (x+2) + (x+4) >=43, so 3x+6 >=43, or 3x>=37, or x >= 37/3

Let 2x be the 1st number
then 2x+2 = 2nd number
and 2x+4 = 3rd number
So 6x+6 = 43
6x = 37
So 42 is 1st number that works
6x = 42 --> x=7
2x=14 = 1st number
16 = 2nd number
18 = 3rd number

x+x+1+x+2= 43
3x+3=43
-3 -3
3x=40

3 3
x = 13,14 and 15.. but that is only 42.. did you write the problem right?
