The summer months in Australia are December, January and February....our kids finish halfway through December and resume either the last day of January, or the first week of February.

So school's not out for the whole summer over there.

Here in Bavaria, Germany there are 2 more days until a two-week vacation..then school til the end of July/beginning of August..then 6 weeks summer vacation...

Yes,because summer isn't at the same time all over the world.
Christmas is in summer in Australia for instance..
