Didn't Santa think it out about giving naughty children coal in their stockings because coal will run out because it's a fossil fuel, so where will he get it from? Instead of people feeding santa mince pies and cookies, shouldn't this food be used to feed the hungry and poor?

Father Christmas of course. That is a very good point you raise, but I think he did think it through, coz I've never known anyone to get coal. Also, maybe he takes the food and stores it in a separate sack for the poor kids and leaves it in their stockings when he passes by them.

Santa Claus. Did you know that the traditional image we all recognize as Santa in the red suit etc was invented by Coke for a 1940s ad campaign?

Santa Claus is commonly associated with St. Nicholas of Myra, a fourth century bishop in the Catholic Church.

The most famous association is Clement Moore's poem, 'A Visit from St. Nicholas,' more commonly known as 'Twas the Night before Christmas!'

St. Nicholas is the patron saint of children.

One of the most famous stories associated with him is of a poor man in his church who had three daughters but no money for dowries. When the one was ready to marry, St. Nicholas put enough of his own money for her dowry in a sack and, in the middle of the night, tossed it into the home of the man. Then, as each of the other daughters came of age, he did it again.

Today, in some cultures, on December 6th, St. Nicholas leaves a bag of goodies on the doorstep; usually nuts & candies!

With love in Christ.

yeah i guess your right .. but it is an important thing for kids to leave santa food. it teaches kids morals such as being good pays off, if your bad you will have to suffer the consequences (like in this example if your bad, you will get coal to play with when your friends and family get nice toys!) it may just be made up but its the fun and hope it gives the kids which makes it alrite.
